The Leadership Kitsap Group is working with the City of Port Orchard and the Port of Bremerton to add enhancement to a parcel of land on the soon to be built Port Orchard Board Walk, which is also known as the Mosquito Fleet Trail and the Bay Street Pedestrian Path.

Two years ago we added public art enhancements to the beginning of this path and are so excited to see that the whole dream for the path will become a reality.

The other day I took a ride on the Bay Street Pedestrian Pathway ... what there is of it. The paved recreational path designed for walkers, joggers, skaters and cyclists (but no cars) will extend from the foot ferry terminal in downtown Port Orchard to the Annapolis foot ferry terminal.

Exciting news for the Port Orchard Boardwalk. It will be fully realized now.

City got $3.5 million for the Bay Street Pedestrian Pathway, $500,000 for DeKalb Pier and nearly $400,000 for McCormick Village Park.
