Effective leadership brings people together to get things done for the community.
I’m proud to have the endorsement of Port Richey Councilwoman Christine Sullivan for my re-election as Mayor. Christine has been committed to thoughtful, responsible decision-making and serving the best interests of our residents.
With her support, I am proud to have the endorsement of every sitting member of the Port Richey City Council. That unity doesn’t happen by accident — it’s built through trust, collaboration, and a shared commitment to doing what’s best for our community.
At a time when many communities face division, Port Richey is moving forward with a team that is focused, cooperative, and delivering results.
Together, we will continue moving Port Richey forward with strong, unified leadership.
***** Councilwoman Christine Sullivan's Endorsement *****
"I am proud to endorse Mayor John Eric Hoover for his continued leadership in Port Richey.
Over the past several years, Mayor Hoover has built real momentum for our city. That progress is tangible. We are moving forward in addressing long neglected infrastructure, strengthening fiscal discipline, and restoring confidence in local government. For a city with aging water systems, stormwater vulnerabilities, roadway deterioration, and deferred capital maintenance, steady leadership is essential. Repairing infrastructure is not a short term project. It requires long range planning, aggressive pursuit of grants, responsible budgeting, and coordination at every level. Mayor Hoover understands that rebuilding an aging city demands consistency, focus, and follow through. Interrupting that progress now would risk slowing the work that residents depend on.
Momentum in municipal government takes time to build and commitment to sustain. Maintaining it means protecting the investments already underway and continuing the disciplined approach necessary to modernize Port Richey’s core systems. For stability and the continued repair of our city’s infrastructure, I strongly support Mayor John Eric Hoover’s ongoing service to our community."
