The Galen Wilson Senior Center recently hosted an extraordinary Senior Prom to commemorate Older Americans Month in a grand manner! The highly anticipated event was a resounding success, complete with the talented George from Boomer Bliss bringing us a playlist of timeless classics that effortlessly transported us back to the 'good ol days', evoking feelings of nostalgia and joy. The beautiful decorations, carefully curated to create a warm and inviting ambiance, added to the magic of the event. Many of the seniors took the opportunity to dress up in their finest attire, looking absolutely stunning and making the king and queen voting a challenging but delightful task. To ensure that the voting process was fair and unbiased, we decided to draw names of the winners, which only added to the excitement and suspense. The evening was further enhanced by a diverse range of snacks, including crispy chips served with a delicious ranch dip, tortilla chips paired with a zesty salsa, a healthy trail mix, an assortment of sweet cookies, and a refreshing punch that was a hit with everyone. The Senior Prom was a wonderful celebration of our seniors, and we're thrilled to have shared this special moment with them! 🎉🎂

The Sunshine Club at the Wilton Simpson Senior Center hosted an exciting raffle event, and everyone in attendance was thrilled to receive a ticket, but only a select few were randomly chosen to take home one of the amazing prizes. The prizes included a Singer sewing machine, complete with a variety of accessories to get the seniors started on their next creative project, a beautiful chiming pendulum wall clock that would add a touch of elegance to any room, a set of adorable wooden penguin figurines, each one uniquely named and waiting to find a new home, and not one, but two stunning lamps with intricate floral designs that would brighten up any space. This fun event was a huge hit with the seniors, who were all smiles as they mingled and socialized, eagerly waiting to see who would be the lucky winners. The atmosphere was electric, and everyone left feeling grateful for the wonderful community at the Wilton Simpson Senior Center. 🎉🎁

Please keep in mind that all of our Senior Centers will be closed on Friday, May 22nd, 2026. We will be attending a training. We will also be closed on Monday, May 25th, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day. We will be back open with normal hours on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026.

We had a fantastic time recognizing our April birthdays at the Zephyrhills Senior Center, where we celebrated with a delicious spread of pizza, cookies, and a beautiful commemorative cake that was almost too pretty to eat! The atmosphere was lively and joyful, filled with laughter and chatter as we honored our special seniors who were born in the month of April. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together and make some unforgettable memories with our friends.

🌺💐At the Galen Wilson Senior Center, we recently had the pleasure of crafting exquisite paper flowers, which turned out to be truly stunning. We spent our time delicately cutting, folding, and shaping the paper into intricate designs, and the end result was well worth the effort. The vibrant colors added a touch of elegance to the room, and everyone was thrilled with their creations.
