🌀 A friendly reminder from the Town of Port Royal:

The best time to prepare for a hurricane is before one is in the forecast.

✔️ Check your emergency kit.
✔️ Charge your devices.
✔️ Know your evacuation zone.
✔️ Secure outdoor items.
✔️ Follow trusted local updates.

A little preparation today can bring a lot of peace of mind tomorrow.

Stay safe, Port Royal. 💙

One of the best parts of living in Port Royal is the opportunity to connect with one another, and this is a great chance to do just that.

Before the Demolition of the Sea Island Apartments, that will ultimately make way for the VA Hospital Construction. The Contractor has agreed to allow our first responders to use the buildings for important training exercises. Thank you.

🚨 TRAINING NOTICE – SEA ISLAND APARTMENTS 🚒

Over the next couple of weeks, you may see an increase in emergency vehicles at Sea Island Apartments, located at 1830 Ribaut Road.

Our department has been given a unique opportunity to conduct extensive training inside these buildings alongside our automatic and mutual aid partners before the complex is demolished.

This hands-on training will allow firefighters from across our area to work together, practice real-world fireground operations, and further prepare for emergencies in the communities we serve.

The Sea Island Apartments property will eventually make way for construction of the new VA clinic right here in Port Royal, making this a great opportunity to put the buildings to good use before they come down.

🔬🚀 You don't want to miss the **10th Annual Port Royal Sound Foundation STEAM Festival**, a day filled with hands-on activities, interactive exhibits, and exciting opportunities to explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math.

Whether your child loves building, discovering, creating, or simply asking "why," there's something for every curious mind.

This event has become a favorite tradition for families across the Lowcountry, and it's easy to see why. You'll leave having learned something new while making great memories together.

Thank you to the Port Royal Sound Foundation and all of the volunteers and partners who make this incredible event possible year after year.

I hope to see you there!
