The Town of Port Royal is located between the Beaufort River and Battery Creek in the South Carolina Lowcountry. The Town is home to two military installations, Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island and Naval Hospital, Beaufort, as well as neighbor to the historic City of Beaufort and The Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort. The Town takes pride in its unique natural environment and its acces

sibility to that environment through its network of walking trails, community beach, boardwalk, and observation tower. Port Royal is experiencing significant growth which has led to the revitalization of the traditional, historical, mixed-use core; the renovation of historic homes; residential infill in and around downtown; and the expansion of the Town's neighborhood elementary school, Port Royal Elementary. Port Royal seeks to foster community and direct new development with the guidance of a Neo-Traditional Master Plan. The Town of Port Royal is recognized as one of America's leaders in small town New Urbanism.

Hurricane season officially begins today, June 1, and runs through November 30. While we all hope for a quiet season, now is the time to prepare—not when a storm is approaching. South Carolina emergency officials encourage residents to build a plan, know their evacuation zone, review emergency supplies, and stay informed throughout the season.

Port Royal residents are encouraged to take a few simple steps today:
• Review your emergency plan
• Check and update your disaster supply kit
• Know your evacuation zone and routes
• Sign up for emergency alerts
• Stay connected to trusted weather and emergency sources

Remember: it only takes one storm to make a season memorable. Take a few minutes now to prepare your family, pets, and property.

🚧 Temporary Traffic Update for Today 🚧

Paris Avenue will be temporarily closed for a few hours today while road work is completed. The street will reopen as soon as the work is finished.

While the closure may create a brief inconvenience, our local businesses remain open and would appreciate your support. Please continue to shop, dine, and visit your favorite Paris Avenue businesses during this time.

Please be advised that traffic on Paris Avenue will be reduced to one lane with alternating traffic flow on Tuesday through Friday, May 26th – 29th . Motorists should expect delays and slower travel times in the area.

If possible, please use alternate routes to help reduce congestion and avoid delays.
