Today, Gulf County EMS and Gulf County Dispatch had the opportunity to train with Survival Flight on LZ operations and helicopter safety. 🚁

Crews reviewed the importance of establishing safe landing zones, maintaining clear communication, and ensuring scene safety for both patients and responders during air medical operations. Trainings like these help strengthen teamwork between EMS, Dispatch, and our air medical partners to provide the highest level of care when every second counts.

A huge thank you to Survival Flight for taking the time to educate our crews and continue building strong partnerships within emergency services. We appreciate the dedication to keeping our responders informed, prepared, and safe.

There’s something special about watching kids light up when they get to climb inside an ambulance, ask questions, and meet the people behind the uniforms. 🚑💙

Today, Gulf County EMS had the opportunity to attend a local Touch-A-Truck event at Faith Christian Academy and spend time with students in our community. From exploring the ambulance to learning about emergency equipment and safety, it was a day full of curiosity, smiles, and hands-on learning.

We believe community outreach matters just as much as emergency response. Building trust, educating young minds, and creating positive experiences with first responders is something we’re proud to be part of.

Thank you to the school staff, students, and everyone who helped make today a success. We loved getting to share a little of what we do with the next generation. 🚑✨

🚑🎓 A HUGE congratulations to Terry Wolf on graduating from the EMT Program! 🎓🚒

Terry has already dedicated so much of his time serving our community as a Gulf County dispatcher and firefighter with South Gulf Fire Rescue—and now he’s adding EMT to the list.

From answering calls behind the radio, to responding on the fire ground, and now providing patient care in the field, Terry continues to prove his commitment to helping others in every way possible. His hard work, dedication, and passion for public safety does not go unnoticed.

We’re incredibly proud of this accomplishment and excited to see what’s next for Terry… and while we know South Gulf Fire may want to keep him, we’d be more than happy to officially welcome him over to the EMS side anytime. 😉🚑

🐂🤠 This weekend, Gulf County EMS was proud to provide medical coverage for the Bull, Broncs, and Barrels Rodeo in Wewahitchka, Florida!

On site for the event were Paramedic J. Kennedy, EMT C. Weeks, Paramedic M. Green, and EMT R. Morris, who helped ensure both participants and spectators stayed safe while enjoying an action-packed night of rodeo fun. From bulls and broncs to barrels and big crowds, our crew was ready to respond at a moment’s notice.

Thank you to the event organizers for having us out there and thank you to everyone who attended for making it a great weekend in Wewa! Gulf County EMS is proud to support our community wherever and whenever we’re needed. 🚑❤️

🍪💚 A huge thank you to Girl Scouts of Port St. Joe Troop 101305 for their generous donation of multiple boxes of Girl Scout cookies to Gulf County EMS!

Girl Scouts help shape the next generation of leaders by teaching important values such as teamwork, responsibility, confidence, and service to others. Those same qualities are essential in EMS, where leadership, compassion, and the ability to work together make a difference every single day. It is inspiring to see these young leaders already making a positive impact in our community.
