I’m grateful to be alive and once again able to vote as a naturalized citizen of the United States. I don’t take this privilege for granted, and I feel a deep sense of responsibility each time I participate in the democratic process of this great nation.

Voting is more than a civic duty to me, it is a patriotic honor and a powerful expression of love for my country and my city. It is my way of standing with my neighbors in deciding local leadership, from the mayor and city council to school board members and community initiatives that directly impact our daily lives. It reminds me of the sacrifices made to protect these rights and the extraordinary opportunity I have to contribute to the place I proudly call home.
