Did You Know? 💙

If you live in St. Lucie County, you may be eligible for a free, voluntary nurse home visit after the birth of your baby, even if you deliver at a hospital outside of St. Lucie County.

The Children's Services Council of St. Lucie County funds programs that provide support to local families during those important first weeks at home.

A nurse home visit can help you:
👶 Monitor your baby's growth and development
🩺 Answer questions about newborn care and feeding
💙 Support your physical and emotional recovery
🍼 Connect you with local resources and services
🏡 Give you confidence as you adjust to life with your newborn

These services are available to all St. Lucie County mothers and newborns, regardless of where the baby is born.

📚 Dolly Parton's impact reached far beyond music.

Through her Imagination Library, she helped put books into the hands of millions of children and inspired a love of reading across generations.
Here at the Children's Services Council, we've seen firsthand what can happen when a child is given access to books and encouraged to read. Through efforts like our Little Libraries, St. Lucie Reads and Bookman, we're proud to play our small part in continuing that work right here in St. Lucie County.

Today, Bookman tips his cape to a true champion for young readers. 💙📚

Behind every successful initiative, strong partner relationship, and positive outcome for our local kids is a team of dedicated advocates. And after two decades of leadership at the Children's Services Council, our Director of Programs, Tonya Palmer, has officially retired.

Having held several key roles throughout her time with us, Tonya’s expertise and compassion helped shape the high-quality services available to families across St. Lucie County today. True to her nature, she preferred letting the work speak for itself. Today, that 20-year legacy of community service speaks volumes.

Thank you, Tonya, for your two decades of service and your unwavering commitment to our mission. Happy Retirement, Rock Star! 💙

🕵️ Think we just collect your property tax dollars and call it a day? Nope. We're out here checking our work... a LOT.

Public investment = public accountability. So the Children's Services Council doesn't just fund programs and walk away. We're basically the strictest hall monitor in town. 📋✅

✅ Zero "just trust us" - every dollar gets tracked

🎒📚 From the community... to the classroom!

At Shift Culture's Cars & Stars event, community members donated school supplies, and we were happy to help make sure those supplies got where they were needed.

Last week, the donated supplies were delivered to St. Lucie Public Schools to help students who may still need supplies now — or later in the school year when those pencils, notebooks and backpacks start running low.

A simple example of what can happen when our community works together for children. 💙

Today, we’re honoring our CEO, Sean Boyle, for 29 years of extraordinary dedication to the Children’s Services Council of St. Lucie County.

From the early days to today, his commitment to children, families, and the St. Lucie County community has remained strong. Through every milestone, partnership, and new opportunity, he has continued to lead with vision and heart.

We’re thankful for the wisdom, energy, and passion you bring to this work and for all of the ways you continue to put community over everything.

Hopefully you already know that the Children's Services Council is St. Lucie County's commitment to children and families by using a small portion of property taxes to fund and make available children's programs that reach over 60,000 children. But did you know this: Every dollar St. Lucie County invests in the Children's Services Council doesn't just sit there. It goes out, makes friends, and comes back with more money in tow. 🤝💵

✅ $4+ million in matching funds snagged from state, federal & foundation sources
✅ 412 jobs supported locally
✅ Real dollars looping right back through our community & economy
