Formed in 1924, the port owns and operates three marinas, a shipyard, industrial properties, an airport, the 253 acre Short’s Farm and five boat ramps.

It is fish boat season in the boat yard! Before they can go catch the fish, these boats need to be maintained. That is where the Port Townsend Boatyard comes in. Wood, aluminum, steel, fiberglass, large, small, new and old, all boats are welcome here.

Open house this Friday, March 27th, 8:00 am to 2:00 pm (cookies will be fresh from Marina Cafe).

After 40 years, this unique over‑the‑water property is now available for lease! The Port welcomes you to stop by, tour the building, and share your ideas about its future. We’re eager to hear your creative concepts and vision for how this new public asset could best serve the community.

The building is approximately 3,000 square feet and includes:

Two large restrooms with showers
A spacious kitchen
A bar area
An expansive open floor layout
The property overlooks the commercial basin at the Port of Port Townsend’s Boat Haven marina. It is zoned M‑II(A) and regulated under the Shoreline Master Program (SMP). For allowable uses, please refer to Table 5.12‑1 of the SMP and Table 17.22.020 of City code. Property listing here.
