Our Mission:
Promoting inclusive communities through creative opportunities for integrated employment and community engagement. WHO WE ARE
At Cascade, we strive for a fully inclusive society – in which each individual is provided equal access to community services and gainful employment. We proudly provide the resources and one-on-one guidance necessary for those seeking assistance with independe
nt living, securing employment and navigating the transition from high school to broader community life. OUR SERVICES
Supported Employment
Cascade’s long standing relationship with the Jefferson County workforce provides us with a unique advantage when collaborating with local business. We relish the opportunity to help participating employers fill or create new positions, and also offer human resource consulting to those organizations looking to diversify their staff. Team with Cascade and see how our creative solutions can help accommodate and improve diversity within your workplace! Community Engagement
We believe that true self-empowerment lies in being an active participant in one’s community. Engaging in public activities, attending events and volunteering are all great ways to establish meaningful local connections. High School Transition Services
The transition from high school to life within the community at large, including the search for regular employment, can be a challenging one. Our ACE-IT high school transition services help juniors and seniors with developmental disabilities prepare for success. Respite in Community Settings
At Cascade Community Connections, we believe everyone deserves to engage in fun activities and enjoy what their local communities have to offer. Opportunities for play, recreation, and leisure are essential for a full and flourishing life. What do you like to do? Where would you like to go? What would you like to learn? We are now offering pre-planned or customizable field trips, outings, and community-based respite for small groups. We work with individuals and families to design trips based on your interests and goals. Activities might include a Bowling & Pizza in Silverdale, Picnic on the Beach, Dinner & Movie, Wild Waves Theme & Water Park, Nature-Walks, Olympic Game Farm Park, Zoo, Aquarium, or even a Seattle’ Mariners Game! To start planning your next adventure email [email protected] or call 360-774-3342. About Our Fees for Respite in Community Settings
Most of our outings and outing expenses will be covered by your already available respite fund. Rates for these high quality programs and guided group outings are set by the Washington Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) for whom we are a contracted community respite provider. Fees are $18.16 per person per hour. Please check with your case resource manager with the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) to see if you are eligible and have funds available to bill DDA. When registering, you will have the option to self-pay or to instruct us to bill DDA. Fees for each activity/event includes actual care time plus transportation and sometimes other applicable expenses. Your Cascade Team Member will work with you to design activities within your available budget.
