Howard joined the department in 1962, he was a life member for 63 years. He held all of the officer positions in the department throughout his active career. He held a chief position for over 20 years and was a mentor for many firefighters and EMTs at our department and throughout the region.

Howard was a major part in acquiring our retired 1991 Hendrickson/KME Engine that served us for many years, as well as our current tanker. Howard and his wife Nancy were instrumental in starting the QRS service for the department. He was always involved in the fundraisers for the department.
