Ex-Captain John C. Dargan Flower Hill Hose Company 1 Died in the line of duty 73 years ago today, April 11, 1953.

On April 11, 1953, Ex-Captain John C. Dargan made the ultimate sacrifice while serving his community.

While operating at a barn fire, Dargan collapsed and could not be revived. His dedication to the fire service spanned many years, including five years with Protection Engine Co. No. 1, PWFD, LINY before transferring to Flower Hill Hose Company #1, where he served multiple terms as Captain.

We honor his courage, commitment, and selfless service. His legacy will never be forgotten. 🚒🕊️
