Update:

Realizing that it was short notice, the garden party is being moved to the weekend of November 1-2. We will be focusing on putting the garden to bed for the winter, and will be there to help any who need it where their plots are concerned. Those who have their winter plants still growing, you have nothing to worry about. We hope to see many of you then.

Again, thank you for being patient with us concerning the transition from Derek to the new council. Despite our growing pains, the management of the garden will go smooth for the 2015 growing season.

Our next meeting is the third Thursday in January, at the old courthouse in downtown Port. More details will be posted as we get closer to the time of the meeting.

Thank you again, and we hope to see some or all of you in November.

The garden is thawed and ready to work. Some of the plots have been turned, and with this week of warm weather, the radishes could go in this next weekend.

This Saturday at 10 AM I am going to finish moving the water tanks, clean up and prepare the garden for winter. Anyone who would like to help me would be welcome ---- Thanks

The hoses are drained, rolled, and in the shed, the water tanks are drained and upside down. Please share your success stories with us, also any pictures you might have!

Unlike last year, weeding is the name of the game---so much rain that the weeds are taking over!

The garden is taking shape nicely, fruit trees are in, water tanks filled, just need to plant the flowers around the south water tank and keep up with the cardboard debris that the wind pushes around---many plots are planted for the summer

Please check out the "window" complete with shutters in the shed and see if you think it will be a nice decorative touch to put at the front of the shed after it is all stained.

36 days until Spring! This year we would like to plant some perenials for everyone to share, a couple of dwarf fruit trees, maybe a patch of Asparagus and either some Concord Grapes or Rhubarb, or even both!!
