Today, we pause and remember Lieutenant Dennis 'Dale' Sylvester, Jr.

Lt. Sylvester dedicated his life to service. First as a U.S. Navy veteran and then going on to serve 26 years with Chatham County Police Department and ultimately calling the Port Wentworth Police Department home for five years.

We honor his memory, we thank his family for their sacrifice, and we carry his legacy forward in the work we do every day.

Dale, your presence is greatly missed.
