As our region emerges from the "Derecho of '26," NIRPC applauds the generocity and resilience of our municipalities and residents as we collectively clear up from this massive storm event. We also thank NIPSCO for doing their best to restore power and recruit other utility companies to share the load. This storm has demonstrated how our region can come together and assist each other when needed - much like the Merrillville tornado event from a couple of months ago. We look forward to working with all of our entities in Lake, Porter and La Porte counties to aid with strategies to help us cope with future natural disasters.

Purdue MEP is introducing the Supply Chain Management Excellence Series: Learning and Peer Exchange, a new program designed specifically for small and medium-sized manufacturers looking to strengthen their supply chain capabilities. Through a series of focused workshops, participants will gain practical tools, best practices, and real-world knowledge in areas such as sourcing, supplier management, inventory planning, risk management, and operational performance. The program helps manufacturers move beyond a reactive approach to supply chain management and develop more strategic, value-adding capabilities that support business growth.
