• 18 years of age at time of hiring.
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
• Eagerness to commit.
• Must be able to attend meetings and training drills each month. NATIONAL NIGHT OUT - AUGUST 4, 2026 5:00-7:30PM

We are excited to host a Superhero Themed National Night Out at Collipp Worden Park on August 4, 2026, from 5:00-7:30pm. Please come out and join us for a fun and free family event. As a part of this event, we are asking that you bring non-perishable food items to donate to the Portage Food Pantry, as they are in need of our support to help combat hunger within our community.

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL PARAMEDICS DAY
Paramedicine is a rapidly growing profession, with paramedics working across a wide range of roles and settings. This year, we celebrate the different ways paramedics are able to adapt and innovate in order to meet the evolving needs of patients and acknowledge their incredible work as integral healthcare providers, capable of delivering high-quality care across diverse settings.

International Paramedics Day takes place on the 8th of July each year, marking the anniversary of the birth of Dominique-Jean Larrey, often referred to as the father of modern-day ambulance services.

This year, our theme is "Innovate & Integrate." This year, we will be celebrating International Paramedics Day by highlighting the various ways paramedics are advancing practice, improving patient care, utilizing digital technologies, showcasing organizational, service and clinical integration, pushing the boundaries of research and being at the forefront in education.

“Innovate & Integrate” encapsulates all these different areas perfectly. It’s about championing your clinical versatility, your ability to adapt and being part of an integral workforce which is transforming the overall healthcare system.
