(HIGH SCHOOL): SUMMER SCHOOL INFORMATION

Dear Parents/Guardians, Please take the time to carefully read the Summer Credit Recovery letter attached, regarding the PUSD Summer Credit Recovery Program. The letter contains important information about attendance expectations, schedules, course assignments, and program policies. Below are some important reminders: • Summer Credit Recovery will be held at Granite Hills High School from June 9 through July 2, Monday through Thursday. • Class time is from 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Students should arrive before the 7:55 a.m. bell. • On the first day, students who are not in class at 8:00 a.m. when attendance is taken will be dropped from the program. • Attendance is mandatory. - Students attending one session may not miss more than 3 hours. - Students attending both sessions may not miss more than 6 hours total. - Tardies count as absences. • Students must attend the entire session and earn a passing grade to receive credit. No partial credit will be awarded. • School dress code and all school policies will be enforced. Any disciplinary misconduct may result in immediate dismissal from the program. • If your student is only assigned one semester course, they should only attend during the session in which they are scheduled. • Transportation information will be provided soon. If there is an error with your student’s course assignment or your student no longer plans to attend, please contact Luz Avila at 793-3490 or Salma Aziz at 793-3890 as soon as possible.
