Meritocracy must be the standard for building and maintaining collective national security. A country is strongest when positions of responsibility are entrusted to individuals based on competence, integrity, experience, and commitment to the nation—not on ethnicity, religion, or political affiliation.

Ethnic or religious identity must never be used as a qualification for determining who is trusted to protect and secure a country. National security institutions should serve all citizens equally and be built on professionalism, accountability, loyalty to the constitution, and the rule of law.

A secure nation is one where every citizen can trust that those responsible for protecting the country were selected because they are capable and qualified—not because of who they are or which community they belong to.
