Pharos House Introduction

Pharos House is the only Residential Reentry Center that contracts with the Federal Bureau of Prisons in the State of Maine. Pharos House has been in existence for 47 years. We are located in the Parkside neighborhood of Portland, Maine. This central location allows our residents to move about the city easily and access the Portland Metro bus line.

Pharos House provides services to help both men and women reintegrate back into the community. Services include seeking and securing employment, connecting with substance abuse and mental health services, rebuilding relationships with family and loved ones, budgeting, housing searches, and teaching life skills.

We have served over 4,000 men and women in helping them reestablish themselves.
