PNA is once again delighted to support block parties in Portsmouth with $75 microgrants. They are a great way to get to know neighbors and don't need to be complicated - can be as simple as a ice cream social. We're holding a grilled corn social!
There's also other local organizations that recognize that community resilience is something we build block-by-block.
Safer Together (link in comments) is a program that has a lot of resources for parties - including a bouncy house, movie projector, tables, popcorn popper, etc. - all for free. They have a brief presentation they give about emergency preparedness. (It says "St. Johns" on their site, but they have expanded to Portsmouth and beyond.)
This is a form to apply for a $75 micro grant for a block gathering held in the Portsmouth or University Park neighborhoods of Portland Oregon during May 1 - October 31 2026. The application will be available through September 15. This program is intended to support neighbors coming together safely....
