STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL SAFETY MESSAGE

PPD would like to welcome everyone to the 85th Annual Middle Tennessee Strawberry Festival this weekend! We are excited to celebrate with our community and visitors from across the region.

As you enjoy the festival activities, concerts, carnival, parade, vendors, and family events, please help us keep the weekend safe and enjoyable for everyone:

Stay aware of your surroundings
Keep a close eye on children in crowded areas
Use designated crosswalks and obey traffic control devices
Be patient with traffic delays and road closures
If you see suspicious activity, unattended bags, or an emergency, notify an officer immediately
Use the free shuttle service when possible to reduce congestion

You will see a strong public safety presence throughout the festival weekend, including our officers, Fire, EMS, EMA, THP, and other partner agencies working together to help ensure a safe event for all.

Please remember:

Do not leave valuables visible in vehicles
Do not block intersections or emergency access routes
Never drive impaired

We encourage everyone to come out, support local businesses and vendors, enjoy the entertainment, and make great family memories.

Thank you for helping us keep Portland safe, welcoming, and โ€œBerry Proud to be an American!โ€
