🚧Portland Harbor - Week 12 Dredge Update🚧
Primary work area this week: Union / Merrills/ Portland Fish Pier, South Port, IMT, South Portland City Pier
Estimated timeline: Union/ Merrill’s / Portland Fish Pier: 24-hour operations expected to be done by 3/5.
South Port: 12-hour operations, expected to run through 3/18. IMT: 24-hour operations with the larger barge expected to be done by the end of this week.
South Portland City Pier: 24-hour operations with larger barge, scheduled for 3/4–3/12.
Disposal: All dredge areas this week will be disposing into the CAD, with a tentative schedule of one disposal event approximately every 12 hours; exact timing may vary. Work at the final two dredge sites may begin early, as those areas require offshore disposal at the Portland Disposal Site. During that phase, dredge traffic will extend offshore to the disposal site.
Support vessels active in the area: Prock will have 2 scow barges with pushboats Sunfish and Mary Lou, as well as smaller support vessels and Determination Marine on site at times. The Harbor Master vessel may be out for monitoring this week as well.
