Portland Parks & Recreation's Community Garden program has provided gardening opportunities for the physical and social benefit of the people and neighborhoods of Portland since 1975. There are 57 community gardens located throughout the city, developed and operated by volunteers and Portland Parks & Recreation staff, offering a variety of activities. Year-round, single gardeners or groups grow ve

getables, herbs, fruit, and flowers in individual garden plots, and participate in group work to care for the garden commons and native plant areas. This site, and all Portland Parks & Recreation social media, is to facilitate communication between the City and the public. Please visit the City of Portland's social media terms of use at portlandoregon.gov/citycode/article/372781. Please check our website for an updated list of gardens with available plots. Sign up for a garden plot by submitting a Garden Plot Request Form located on our website at portlandonline.com/parks/index.cfm?c=39846. Scholarships are available. To apply for a scholarship, please fill out our scholarship application at portland.gov/parks/community-gardens/scholarship.
