I had the pleasure of attending the READI Forum in Muncie a couple weeks ago. Our region was able to showcase some of our projects from the first round, including the Salamonia Schoolhouse project which is now nearing completion. If you're looking for something to do on a nice fall afternoon, go to Salamonia to enjoy the playground and check out the new ramp, fresh brick work, and roof/chimney repairs.

It was a pleasure to work with our friends in Redkey and OCRA to secure this grant funding for utility planning. Way to go REDKEY TOWN HALL!

Recently, Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch and OCRA announced six Indiana communities will receive $312,640 in Planning Grants through the federally funded CDBG program to develop plans for the implementation of community and economic development projects.

“Planning with the help of experts and community input helps ensure success,” said Denny Spinner, executive director of OCRA. “Congratulations to the six towns awarded, they are a great example for Hoosier communities looking toward long-term community development planning.”

Congratulations to the towns of Redkey, Galveston, Windfall, Flora, Hebron and Liberty for receiving grants! For more information on OCRA Planning Grants and to read the full release, visit: bit.ly/2023OCRAPlanningGrant
