Have A Safe Summer!
As you and your children get ready for a summer of fun and
adventure, review the PALS slogan to help all have a healthy,
happy, fun filled summer!
P- Polite: respect all road users
A- Alert: eyes, ears and brain open and ready
L- Legal: obey all sign and signals, know your rights AND
responsibilities
S- Safe: know your abilities to make good choices
This summer try mapping your route to school, community
center, pool, or park. List positives and negatives about the trip.
What can you/we do to make it better? Try writing a letter to your
local newspaper or schoolteacher about where you’ve gone, how
many miles traveled, and what improvements you’d like to see
on those routes. Maybe we can make them better!

A- Alerta: ojos, oídos y cerebro abiertos y listos
L- Legal: obedece todas las señales y conoce tus derechos Y
responsabilidades
S- Seguro: conoce tus habilidades para tomar buenas
decisiones
comunitario, piscina o parque. Lista los aspectos positivos y
negativos del viaje. ¿Qué puedes hacer/nosotros para
mejorarlo? Intenta escribir una carta a tu periódico local o
maestro sobre adónde has ido, cuántas millas has recorrido
Tal vez podamos
mejorarlas.

Remember Your Helmet!
Make sure your child wears a properly fitted helmet on
their way to school this spring. All students riding bikes
and scooters must wear a helmet, regardless of their skill
level. Studies have shown that wearing a helmet can
reduce the risk of head injuries by up to 85% in the
event of a bicycle accident.
Helmets not only protect our brains, but it's also illegal in
the state of Oregon for a child under 16 to ride a bike
without one. Additionally, state law requires all e-scooter
riders to wear a helmet, regardless of age.

¡Recuerda tu casco!
primavera. Todos los estudiantes que montan en
bicicleta y scooter deben usar casco,
