We couldn't resist sharing another round of applause for Haven Wheelock and her award by Outside the Frame at its "We Could Be Heroes" event Thursday, celebrating 10 years of innovative filmmaking by youth who also often participate with Outside In programs. "It is such an honor that they are shouting me out on the anniversary of a decade of great work!" Haven said. OTF Executive Director Nili Yosha welcomed the nearly 400 people packing Hollywood Theatre, and OTF Board President John Duke, a former OI clinic director, presented the harm reduction superhero award. Congratulations, Haven, for continuing to conduct, and inspire, lifesaving work!

We love when creativity and Outside In stick together! Thank you to Mandi Vernoy of Brine and Bard Designs for donating stickers and a portion of proceeds from their Pride merchandise, which includes labels, keychains, and other items. "I am a longtime admirer of the work Outside In does for our community," Mandi says.

Willamette Week Give!Guide is embarking on its annual search for 4 exceptional, young nonprofit professionals!

Eligibility requirements:
-Aged 35 or younger
-Employed with a local nonprofit

Winners receive a cash prize and a feature in this year's Give!Guide.

“There came a moment in my journey when I realized I wanted to give back to Outside In,” says Theresa O’Leary, program participant and Board Member.

The organization helped Theresa rebuild her life piece by piece – it shaped her and has become part of her story.

“When I sat down to write my will using FreeWill, naming Outside In as a beneficiary felt right,” shares Theresa. “It felt like honoring the hands that held me up when I needed it most.”
