nt domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. VAW PAC recognizes that while anyone can be a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking, these are primarily crimes committed by men against women. As such, our efforts recognize the gendered nature of these crimes. VAW PAC recognizes that individuals and communities who experience multiple forms of oppression (i.e., racism, anti-semitism, ableism, classism, homophobia and transphobia, etc.) are at greater risk for experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking, while at the same time are less likely to receive culturally relevant resources and services. As such, our efforts recognize the need to acknowledge and work to end all forms of oppression. VAW PAC believes that domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking are preventable if we focus on changing social and cultural norms and individual attitudes and behaviors that perpetuate and condone these forms of violence (e.g., victim blaming, sexism and other forms of oppression) by promoting healthy norms and behaviors (e.g., healthy sexuality, non-violent relationships, social justice) and holding perpetrators accountable.
