Eight years ago, nearly to the day, we made our first pitch to save the Bull Run Powerhouse from demolition. Four years later we acquired it, which led to a long and thorny four years of land use process.
Not only is the Powerhouse still standing, but our path has led to today's ruling, which provides definitive new case law that establishes a path to a sustainable future for similar historic resources across the state on resource lands.
It's a good day for preservation in Oregon.
