Lyman Moore Middle School Welcome to Lyman Moore Middle School where students, families, and faculty members are working together to support and engage each member of our community.

Lyman Moore Middle School is located in the North Deering neighborhood of Portland, Maine, a few miles from the coast and 50 miles north of New Hampshire. The school serves a diverse community within the Munjoy Hill and Washington Ave. neighborhood, as well as the surrounding area. Visit our classrooms or walk through our hallways and you’ll be impressed by the consistent and ongoing demonstration

s of respect, collaboration and enthusiasm for learning as students explore their world through both innovative and traditional teaching techniques. We are happy to have this page serve as a place for families, students and faculty to interact, learn about the Moore community and share stories and experiences. Drama Club’s meeting this week will be held on Tuesday instead of Thursday due to a conflict with Ski Club. All cast and crew, including students on stage crew and styling, please meet in the cafe after school tomorrow from 2:50-3:50.
