This is it. This is what we've been preparing for, as we packed into the stores and bought all the bread and milk. Almost all of the roads look like this, so please stay home today, if you can, and eat milk sandwiches.

01/06/2022

Call volume is picking up as we are working several crashes, and vehicles off the roadway. Please stay off the roads unless you absolutely must drive.

01/06/2022

The snow has begun. Stay home if you can, and travel patiently, and carefully, if you can't!

01/06/2022

NOTICE:
We are expecting City offices to close early today.
Crews have been pre-treating roads, but once temperatures fall below 20 degrees, salt and brine will no longer work; making tonight and Friday travel dangerous.
Once road conditions and visibility reach unsafe conditions, sanitation routes will be delayed as well.
As the day unfolds, we will update.
Be safe.

🚨SCAM ALERT🚨 - PLEASE SHARE

Scammers are impersonating Deputies from the Robertson County Sheriff's Office. The scammers are calling from the number 615-380-1086 and saying that the individual has a warrant for their arrest and/or missed jury duty. The scammers are then telling the individual to meet them at the Sheriff's Office with a specific amount of money. When calling back the number, there is a voice recording saying it is the Sheriff's Office to try and appear real. THIS IS A SCAM!

Always remember, the Sheriff's Office does NOT call demanding money for missing jury duty or for arrest warrants. Please share so you and others don't become a victim.

THANK YOU VETERANS
Veterans Day is a time for us to pay our respects to those who have served. The holiday started as a day to reflect upon the heroism of those who died in our country's service and was originally called Armistice Day. It fell on Nov. 11 because that is the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I. However, in 1954, the holiday was changed to "Veterans Day" in order to account for all veterans in all wars.

Statistics show that approximately 90% of officer involved shootings occur in low-light conditions (Charles, Copay. 2001). As a result, we tailor our training and equipment selection to match this trend. This video is a small sample of the training we conduct to prepare our officers to respond appropriately, and efficiently, to an active threat. It includes the elements of recreating light distraction, the use of lighting for target acquisition, use of cover and concealment, magazine changes, and tourniquet placement in the event of officer injury. Equipping fi****ms with night-sights and rail lights are examples of some of the measures taken to improve an officer’s chances of a successful outcome. (Normally, the officer would use the vehicle for cover/concealment, but for the purposes of this video, he stood while acquiring the first three targets).
