THIS WEEK AT GARDEN HOME: Our monthly Neighborhood Cafe! This is an an all-ages, lightly-structured, drop-in style event meant to connect local individuals and families with each other to make social connections and build community resilience. Games, activities, & light refreshments are provided. Saturday. April 18. 12pm at Garden Home. Please note: there is no West Slope Neighborhood Cafe this month.

This Summer level up your Dungeons & Dragons game by becoming a Dungeon Master! Every D&D game needs one player to take charge and create a world full of quests, monsters, treasure and adventure; maybe you’d like to BE that player… Learn the basics of D&D and how to run your own campaign for your friends with an experienced DM. We’ll discuss basic principles of running a game, how to run a session 0 to lay the groundwork, creating a party of adventurers, how to prep for a session- and what to do when your players run in a completely different direction than you expected!

No prior experience is needed- whether you’ve never played before and want to learn how to start your own game, or you’re a player who wants to try being a Dungeon Master, or even if you’ve done some DMing and just want to sharpen your skills with input from new players, all are welcome. This program will cover 5-6 sessions over the Summer (depending on the number of participants) to give everyone a chance to run an adventure for the others and experience Dungeon Mastery from behind the DM screen.

Space is necessarily limited, so registration is required.

This Saturday from 10:30am-Noon, come celebrate 50 years of WCCLS at West Slope Community Library with a Wallace Birthday Garden Party! We will have new Wallace swag while supplies last, crafts and activities for kids and some treats! This is also a perfect opportunity to pick up a passport for all WCCLS libraries and get started with Summer Reading!
