As a student at Portland State University, you have a variety of options available to you when it comes to housing. On campus housing is made up of eight different residence halls with various unit types and amenities while being in the heart of downtown Portland. For a more community-based experience, check out Montgomery Residence Hall; our most economical option. All the rooms in Montgomery are

furnished sleepers, so residents share bathrooms and a lounge with a full kitchen. Our other residence halls (Blumel, Ondine, Broadway, Stephen Epler, King Albert, St. Helens, & Blackstone) offer a variety of unit styles such as studios, one-bedrooms, and two-bedrooms. This tradition originated from the early 1900’s when people believed it would bring them luck and fertility to place a piece of cloth on the place they store food 😲

Nowadays people put a twist on this quirky holiday tradition and do it to bring luck! 🍀

Living on campus this summer is SHORE to be a good time 🏄 Okay, the beach is fake, but the vibes are real! Live on campus this summer in Ondine, Broadway, Stephen Epler or Blumel and have premium access to all the fun events happening in downtown Portland when the sun is out 🌞

Current residents are eligible to live on campus without taking summer courses, EVEN if they are graduating at the end of spring term.

We know it's cold outside ❄️ but it's never too early to start thinking about your summer housing plans. The Summer 2026 Housing Contract is open! 📢

Current residents are eligible to live on campus without taking summer courses, EVEN if they are graduating at the end of spring term.

Room types available will be furnished studios, suites, and 1 bedrooms.

Want more information about your housing options next year? Join us at our annual Open House event on February 18th, from 3-5:30pm. You can visit any of our 5 residence halls and explore a variety of room types. This is the only time of year when all of our buildings are available for viewing.

Check-in at the St. Helens or Broadway residential lobbies for building maps and unit-specific information.
