Students United for Palestinian Equal Rights (SUPER)

PSU Students seeking justice, liberation, self-determination and human rights for Palestinians Meetings are held once a week during the regular school year.

Students United for Palestinian Equal Rights is a diverse group of students and community members at Portland State University who are organized on democratic principles and working to promote awareness and student engagement in the campaign for justice, equality and human rights for the Palestinian people. SUPER hosts educational community events, films and discussions on campus that are free and

open to the public year round. SUPER also participates in rallies, conferences, marches and protests throughout the year.

Join our April club meeting to learn more about Palestine and how you can get involved in the Palestinian liberation struggle. We'll be discussing the everyday experiences of Palestinians' living under israeli occupation through a viewing of the short-film, "The Present".

This February, three of our student leaders will be traveling to Los Angeles to represent S.U.P.E.R at the National Students for Justice in Palestine conference! We are looking for support from our community to aid in the costs of attending this event. This conference will be focusing on joint struggle, building the student movement, and transforming our ideas into actions!

RALLY WITH US TOMORROW PSU PARK BLOCKS @ 12 PM AGAINST WARS OF AGGRESSION! END IMPERIALIST WARS! FREE THE PEOPLE!

We will be partaking in a 24 hour livestream, and speaking out on Portland State University's connection to weapons manufacturers and the war industry, the PSU Cut Ties with Boeing campaign, and solidarity with liberation movements around the world. While one of our members will be speaking at 12 pm PST, there will be speakers every hour from all over the world. As people's movements defending their homelands face increasing repression, it is more important now than ever to strengthen international solidarity by building a movement to fight against imperialist war and free the people!

TOMORROW IN ALBERTA PARK: Join us for a gathering in solidarity with Palestine organized by We Rise Production and Jews of Color Collective.

Hear from local activists, including Mic Crenshaw and the Center for Study and Preservation of Palestine, about what Portlanders can do to support Palestinian liberation. We will also hear about the importance of solidarity with Palestinians and all social justice-based movements. For the liberation of Palestine and the right of return of all refugees, Portland stands with Palestinians' resistance against the 73-year ongoing military occupation of their homelands. Long live international solidarity for a free Palestine from the river to the sea!

Ahlan PSU and Portland community! We are Palestinian students and solidarity allies at Portland State University who are a part of a student-led organization dedicated to raising awareness about the injustices concerning the occupation of the Palestinian people. Since 2009, SUPER was at the forefront of mobilizing PSU students and people across Portland for Palestinian liberation through rallies, local campaigns, and revolutionary cultural programming. SUPER built community with all and anyone around the shared principles of joint struggle against oppressive forces, celebration of Palestinian culture, and raised the ongoing struggle for a free Palestine and the Right of Return.

In 2016, student organizers raised demands for the university to end any and all complicity with the occupation of Palestine by the zionist regime. At the same time, people took to the streets of Portland demanding the same justice from the Portland City Council. The power of international solidarity from Portland to Palestine rings strong and so does the legacy of solidarity with Palestinians among student movements at PSU.

As continuation of this legacy, we have re-launched SUPER to educate on and celebrate Palestinians' resistance to zionism and imperialism for their Right of Return and a free Palestine from the river to the sea. We aim to build solidarity on campus between the liberation of Palestine and the interconnected struggles of all oppressed peoples globally for the inception of a just and liberated world.
