Just want to note that we are aware that the listing for Humboldt Neighborhood Association on the city’s neighborhood webpage is inaccurate. Unfortunately we do not have access to update this webpage ourselves. It is updated by the Office of Civic Life. Multiple requests to update the page have been submitted over the last five weeks but no updates have been made and we have not received a response.

Please check this page’s upcoming events or our own website and calendar for the most accurate meeting schedule, location, and other details.

We are meeting this Monday, May 18, and NOT meeting Monday, May 25 (Memorial Day).

One of the ballot initiatives collecting signatures to try to get on the ballot this fall is the MultNoMo campaign, working to consolidate the City of Portland and Multnomah County into one streamlined government entity.

Have you ever tried to get a city permit for an improvement to your house and been surprised by having to record something with the county? Have you ever called to report an issue and been bounced back and forth between city and county departments? Are you tired of maintaining multiple logins to pay your property taxes and the BZT/PFA/SHS taxes? Then you’ve experienced some of the problems this initiative is trying to solve.

Check out the campaign website to learn about the issue, other jurisdictions that have tackled this challenge, and the legal framework.

We’re excited to hear from the MultNoMo campaign founder at our upcoming meeting on Monday May 18. Check out our event or sign up for updates at humboldtportland.org.

A citizen-led initiative to consolidate Multnomah County and the City of Portland into a single, accountable, and effective government.
