TODAY IS NATIONAL SENIOR CITIZENS DAY!

Seniors in this district spent decades working, raising families, and paying into a system that promised it would take care of them when the time came. That time is here for many of you now, and instead of security, you are dealing with fixed incomes that do not stretch far enough, prescription costs that keep climbing, and property taxes that eat into whatever you managed to save.

That is not right, and I am not going to pretend it is just the way things are. I hear about this constantly from constituents, and it is one of the biggest reasons I ran for this seat in the first place.

Happy Senior Citizens Day to every senior in the district and across Michigan. What you built is not forgotten!

SMALL BUSINESSES DON'T NEED A LECTURE FROM LANSING. THEY NEED GOVERNMENT TO GET OUT OF THEIR WAY!

I'm proud to have earned a 100% rating on NFIB Michigan's 2025-2026 Voting Record. Our small businesses create the jobs, support the communities, and drive the local economies that make this district work.

I'll keep fighting to cut red tape and make it easier to build, grow, and do business right here in Michigan!

Congratulations to Kevin and Lesia Brummette on being named the 2026 Sunfield Farmers Picnic Grand Marshals!

Kevin and Lesia have spent decades coaching youth sports, running concessions, serving on boards, working elections, and showing up for their neighbors year after year.

It was my honor to present them with a Special Legislative Tribute, and last night, Sunfield got to show up for two people who have given so much to this community for so long.

They are exactly the kind of people who make small towns great!

WHERE THERE’S SMOKE, THERE’S FIRE!

Days after allegations surfaced that an Iranian national and convicted felon voted in three straight Michigan elections, Attorney General Dana Nessel has now charged five non-citizens and one U.S. citizen with illegal voting. Her own office reviewed 38 cases. Six charged. Twenty-two still under review.

Michigan officials spent years insisting this doesn’t happen here. The numbers say otherwise.

Every eligible citizen deserves a vote that counts. That means Michigan needs stronger safeguards to make sure only citizens are the ones casting ballots!

Jay is an outstanding colleague who brings integrity, dedication, thoughtfulness, and a genuine commitment to serving the people of Michigan to everything he does. It has been a privilege to work alongside him, and we know he will bring those same qualities to this next chapter.

NON-CITIZENS ARE VOTING IN MICHIGAN ELECTIONS!

Undercover reporting has revealed an Iranian national and convicted felon who voted in Michigan's last three elections. He was publicly identified in May. He is still on the voter rolls today.

That's why I joined Rachelle Smit - State Representative, and Michigan Fair Elections at today's press conference to demand answers and ensure that only citizens are voting in Michigan elections.

Every eligible citizen deserves a vote that counts. That means making sure only citizens cast ballots!
