We are honored to support our sister club Rotary Club Biała Podlaska, Poland, in helping Ukrainian refugees in Poland. Thank you to all the individuals and Rotary clubs that donated in the past few months.

Here are a few photos from our International Project Coordinator Zb Chaberski's latest trip.

Listed below are all the projects our $100,000 donation sponsored:

1) Purchased ambulance and sent to Ukraine
2) Equipped ambulance with all necessary medical devices and supplies
3) Bought special vehicle to aid in safely transporting physically and mentally disabled refugees
4) Purchased medicine that was sent to the front lines in Ukraine
5) Dedicated a portion of funds to help mothers and their children with medical and basic needs

For more information on how you can donate and be a part of our continued efforts to support those displaced by this unjust war, comment below and we will reach out to you!

Annie Ross House is the only shelter in Clackamas county Oregon that takes homeless families. Others split the men and women/children and divide families.

We just delivered $2000 in toys, bedding, and bunk beds to the shelter. The money was part of our fund-raising and matched by money from a district grant.

The daughter of one of my members (and also an honorary club member) is going to school in Manchester, UK for a master's in International development. She and a group of like-minded students are trying to raise $25,000 for End Polio Now by climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in Kenya (all are paying for the trip themselves).

Climbing a mountain is representative of Rotary's work to end polio. It has been a long, hard climb, but now we are close to the summit. We may be able to plant the "No More Polio" flag on that summit soon. Let the climbers inspire you to donate to their cause or directly to End Polio Now.

Also, remember there is now a 2 to 1 match available for these funds. Let's see how much we can contribute to the effort!

We are just finishing up a matching DDF grant for the funds we raised at our February Fantasy. We worked with the Milwaukie-Portland Elks Lodge to put on the dance/auction for A Village for One (anti-sex-trafficking), Annie Ross House (a shelter for homeless families), and Clackamas NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness, support for families with mentally ill members).

In the coming weeks we will start buying the charities' requested items, which include bunk beds, bed sheet sets, computer equipment, printed workbooks, and more. This is the second yearly fund-raiser for us, the other being the Portland, Oregon USA Polish Festival.

Our club almost expired from lack of membership, but we brought it back from the brink. We are concentrating on getting enough members to allow projects like this (we are up to 15 at the moment). We also would like to get away from the positions "treasurer for life", "secretary for life", and "president for life" at some point. (-;}>

Our February Fantasy was a success!!! We sold 94 of the 100 items in the silent auction -- that, along with ticket sales netted over $2000 for our three charities!
