Wow, I have not posted in SOOOooooooo long. I'm still here and doing all the 4th Wishes things.
A client just asked me how I dealt with hard parenting moments. I immediately remembered this yoga pose. I used to do this pose and breathe. It is difficult and requires quite a bit of concentration and being in the moment. It gave me a chance to try and reset. It might not have always worked, but it must have enough times for me to remember it so quickly.
I also (after doing all I could and it was safe) walked into another room. I gave myself a short break.
Lots of outside time was also important for my physical boys.
We tried to give B and N time apart from each other. They needed this and still do. Literally being together their whole lives (and the same bunch of cells at one time) can get intense sometimes.
What has worked in the past to re group?
