OR4STEM supports policies that will build a robust school-to-career pipeline increase opportunities for all Oregonians to develop 21st century job skills. OR4STEM believes this can be best accomplished by improving quality & access to effective Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education & training
throughout the state. We strongly support a comprehensive plan for lifelong learning, from early childhood education to re-training unemployed workers in skills in high demand by employers. We know if Oregon can increase the quality & quantity of our skilled workforce we can narrow the gap and attract more employers to grow jobs in Oregon. However, we believe these investments should be made thoughtfully to not undermine the existing tax base for schools & services
With a little help, we can build on Oregon’s pioneer spirit and unleash the trapped economic potential to improve the lives of all Oregonians. OR4STEM is dedicated to educating voters and decision makers on STEM jobs & education issues year round. OR4STEM operates two 501(c)3 Charities (applications pending) - Oregonians for STEM Voter Education Fund a Non-partisan voter registration, education and Get Out The Vote (GOTV) effort. OR4STEM also operates Oregonians for STEM Foundation that supports innovative programs, research & development of public policies. OR4STEM operates Oregonians for STEM Jobs & Education Action (OR4STEM Action), a 501(c)4 Social Welfare Organization that activates voters to directly lobby and influence specific policies,reforms & legislation. OR4STEM operates Oregonians for STEM Jobs & Education PAC (OR4STEM PAC) to support candidates and ballot measures that support our agenda to expand STEM opportunities in education & careers for all.
