The Safe Streets for All Demonstration Project is a temporary installation of roadway safety improvements to test functionality and gather public feedback before permanent changes are considered. The project may include temporary traffic calming measures, pedestrian safety improvements, and roadway design adjustments meant to improve safety and accessibility for all users. The City of S**o Government is working with the Greater Portland Council of Governments on this effort, and we'll be holding an informational booth on June 4 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in front of Town Hall. This booth will provide information and an opportunity for community members to learn more about the project, ask questions, and share feedback on the proposed safety improvements. There is also a public survey about current road conditions that we are asking road users to submit before June 19.

Our Resilience Corps Fellows attended Legislative Day of Awareness at the Maine state
Capitol building last week! They also participated in the swearing in ceremony, taking the pledge:

This is the AmeriCorps pledge:

I will get things done for America — to make our people safer, smarter,
and healthier. I will bring Americans together to strengthen our communities. Faced with apathy, I will take action. Faced with conflict, I will seek common ground. Faced with adversity, I will persevere. I will carry this committment with me this year and beyond. I am an AmeriCorps
member, and I will get things done.
