End of Season at the Portola Pool

The Portola Pool has officially closed for the season. A huge thank you to everyone who made this another wonderful summer of splashing, swimming, and fun at our community pool.

We're grateful for the lifeguards, staff, and all the families who came out to enjoy the water this year. See you next summer!

2026 City Council Elections: Certificate of the City Elections Official, Nominations, and Application for City Council

The City Council is now accepting applications for the 2-year City Council seat. If interested, please submit the completed application to [email protected] or turn in the application at City Hall at 35 Third Ave, Portola, CA, 96122. Applications are also available at City Hall. The application form is also available in the link below.

Applications are due 12:00pm Monday August 17, 2026.

In order to apply, you must be a resident and registered voter of the City of Portola and at least 18 years of age to be considered for appointment to the City Council.

Applications will be reviewed by the City Council at a Special Meeting to be held Tuesday August 18 at 5:00pm. Applicants are encouraged to attend this meeting if possible.

Due to a pump mechanical failure, the Portola Pool will unfortunately be closed for the remainder of the season.

If you have a child in lessons this week, please reach out to City Hall at 530-832-4216 to request a refund.

Join us as we closeout the summer season this week at the Portola Pool! Operating hours will remain the same for the week Monday through Saturday.

On Sunday 08/16 we will be having a pool closing day celebration. Operations for Sunday 08/16 are as follows:

11am-4pm: Public Swim
4pm-5pm: Water Aerobics
