📚🤝 Lunch & Learn Collaboration!

Yesterday, members of the SRS leadership team spent the afternoon with our friends at Lawrence County Developmental Disabilities for a Lunch & Learn. Together, we discussed what makes SRS unique, explored the current state of residential and day services, and shared ideas about what the future holds for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.

We appreciate the opportunity to connect, learn from one another, and strengthen partnerships that help create more inclusive and meaningful opportunities for the people we serve. 💙

🎨✨ Our individuals had a wonderful time showing off their creativity at The Happy Pot! Everyone enjoyed painting, choosing their own unique designs, and bringing their artistic visions to life. It was a fun-filled day of laughter, self-expression, and making special memories together.

When people think about services for individuals with developmental disabilities, they often imagine facilities or institutions. The truth is, many of us live in homes just like this one: part of our neighborhoods, our communities, and our everyday lives.

These homes provide more than shelter. They provide independence, support, friendship, dignity, and the opportunity to live a full and meaningful life. Accessible features, like the ramp shown here, help ensure everyone can enter and enjoy their home safely and comfortably.

Nothing says summer like a day at the pool! Our individuals had an incredible time soaking up the sunshine, making new memories, and enjoying a fun-filled day. From laughter in the water to relaxing poolside with friends, it was a day full of smiles and connections!
