Many Vietnam veterans are receiving letters from attorney offices around the country offering their help in getting the veteran their benefits. Please go to your local Veterans Service Office or see a Veteran Representative to make sure you're getting all that you're entitled to in regards to "Nehmer" claims. That includes: Ischemic Heart, Parkinson's, B-Cell Leukemia due to Agent Orange exposure. It's not only important to veterans - but if you know a widow of a Vietnam veteran - please refer her to check out her benefits. Service Officers don't/can't/would'nt charge for our work.

OHIO AgrAbility: In support of American veterans the Ohio Department of Veteran Services reaches out to our military veterans in an effort to assist them in pursuing their benefits. The Ohio AgrAbility program has been reaching out to the rural community for just over two years. Our goal is to keep farmers, ranchers, their families and persons in the agricultural work force, working in their chosen field of agriculture. My request is very simple. If your office works with disabled veterans who farm, let them know our program exists. WE find information, new ideas and peers to be extremely beneficial to farmers farming with a physical challenge. Additionally, we strive to find the right equipment to keep a farmer working safely and efficiently. In certain circumstances Ohio AgrAbility pursues payment for the equipment a disabled farmers needs and we take time to assess the need in order to procure the right equipment. Please, share our program with Disabled American Veterans in your county and let them know Ohio has a program specifically for farmers who want to keep farming in spite of a physical challenge. Rural Rehabilitation Coordinator, Ohio AgrAbility Program: 513-616-2102.
