EXCITING NEWS AT POTEAU PRIMARY SCHOOL! 🖤❤️🏴☠️
We are so excited to congratulate four of our amazing teachers who were selected as recipients of the Poteau Education Foundation Teacher Awards! These grants will bring exciting new learning opportunities to our students, and we couldn't be more proud of these deserving educators!
Mrs. Rachel Hackler – Pre-K 3 Teacher
Mrs. Hackler's grant will bring dinosaurs to life in her classroom through a hands-on Dinosaur Discovery unit! Her little learners will have the opportunity to explore and discover the fascinating world of dinosaurs.
Mrs. Kristen Broussard – Pre-K 3 Teacher
Mrs. Broussard's grant will provide supplies for a hands-on science investigation exploring the life cycle of a chicken! Her students will get to watch eggs develop in an incubator as they learn about the amazing process of a chick growing and hatching.
Mrs. Julie Hayes – Reading Interventionist
Mrs. Hayes' grant will provide fun, hands-on learning materials that will allow her to further develop her students' foundational reading skills through a multisensory approach. These resources will help make learning to read an engaging and enjoyable experience for her students!
Mrs. Meagann Necessary – First Grade Teacher
Mrs. Necessary's grant will fund a Yoto Audio Player and a variety of audiobook story cards to create an engaging listening center in her classroom. This exciting addition will give students new opportunities to enjoy stories and develop a love for reading!
We are so proud of our teachers! Each of them goes above and beyond to make learning meaningful and engaging for our students. Their creativity and dedication to providing the very best for our little Pirates make a difference every single day!
A huge THANK YOU to the Poteau Education Foundation and sponsors for your generosity and continued investment in our teachers and students! Your support helps bring wonderful ideas to life in our classrooms and makes a lasting impact on the children we serve.
