The Potosi High School Huddle kicked off the school year with a Scavenger Hunt around town. Three teams competed to complete as many challenges in one hour as they could...and they all finished 20 missions. Some of the challenges included I Can't Believe We All Fit In Here, Somebody's Favorite Bible Verse, Random Act of Kindness, Movie Scene Reenactment, Nature Lovers, and Playground Palooza!

Community members, staff members, students, family, and friends gathered in the Potosi Schools parking lot on Sunday night, August 30th as part of a nationwide prayer event, Inspire Our Schools, to pray over our school and community for another safe and successful school year!

Meet Justin Blahnik!

Justin Blahnik is thrilled to be joining the Potosi School District this year as a special education assistant. Originally from Cuba City, Justin recently moved to Fennimore with his wife, Sarah, and their two children.

Justin earned his degree in Education from UW-Platteville and is currently completing the required testing to become a licensed teacher. He has experience working as both a substitute teacher and a paraprofessional.

Outside of school, Justin enjoys spending time with his family, watching scary movies, and traveling. After five years away from the classroom, he is excited to meet a whole new group of students and looks forward to becoming part of the Potosi School District community!

Hanna Cohen is also new to Potosi School District! She will be a paraprofessional at the elementary level. She is originally from Lancaster, and this summer she welcomed her first baby boy, Hayes. In her free time, Hanna enjoys spending time outdoors, making memories with her family and friends, and, of course, enjoying a good shopping day!

Hanna is so excited to be joining the Potosi School District and can't wait to meet everyone. She looks forward to getting to know the students, staff, and families and becoming part of such a welcoming and supportive school community.

The Potosi High School Huddle will kick off the school year with a Team Scavenger Hunt on Sunday night, August 30th beginning at 7:00 p.m. (after the Inspire Our Schools prayer event). PHS students are welcome to come and take part in the scavenger hunt to compete for team prizes. Ice cream sundaes will be served to all participants at 8:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria!

The Potosi VBS Core Team invites students, staff, and community members to join them in a prayer for our schools on Sunday night, August 30th in the Potosi Schools parking lot. Inspire Our Schools is a nation-wide event where people unit to pray for area schools as they begin the school year! Members of the PHS Huddle, as well as VBS Core Team members, will be there to help lead the prayers at 6:30 p.m.

REMINDER: Today is the Potosi Schools OPEN HOUSE! All students, 4K-12, should stop by for pictures between 2:30-6:30. Teachers will be available and students will be able to bring in school supplies for their desks and/or lockers.

Potosi Schools will hold our annual OPEN HOUSE on Thursday, August 27th. School pictures will be taken for ALL STUDENTS from 2:30-6:30. Students are invited to come in and meet teachers, as well as bring in school supplies and fill their lockers!
