We have been receiving a lot of calls regarding Missouri no longer needing inspections & that there is now an option for permanent vehicle registration.

Our state workers posted an article on January 6, 2026 regarding these rumors. THEY ARE NOT TRUE.

The inspection rules are still in place. As well as there only being two options for vehicle registration (1 year or 2 years)

our state help desk in Jefferson City is going to be closed both January 1st and 2nd. So we will be unable to make any calls up to the state on friday regarding anything to do with motor vehicle and drivers licenses.

We are looking to hire a third person into our office as needed.

must be able to:
-pass a background check
-show proof of all personal property taxes & waivers
-show proof of vehicle registration & valid insurance
-be reliable & ready to learn all the things that come with this job.

This position would be every Thursday & Friday from 12-4 & when one of the other clerks is out a day.
