Saturday evening Members of the West Potsdam Volunteer Fire Department, Ladies Auxiliary and members of the Community met for the Lighting of our Memorial Tree. We started with a moment of silence for recently departed Past member Larry Dalton. Names were read by EMS Capt. Greg Wise followed by the tree lighting and a short prayer. We would like to thank everyone for their support.

Saturday evening the West Potsdam Volunteer Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary held their annual banquet at the Lobster House in Norwood. Robert Forbes received the Chiefs Award for his dedicated service. Charles Bates received his year pin for 60 years of service, Larry Sheridan with 40 years , Gregory Wise with 20 years and Brad Clements with 16 years.

To Whom it May Concern:
It may be too early to think about but Christmas is coming and we all have people that we are missing. The Members of the West Potsdam Fire Department First Responders are willing to help you in lighting our memorial tree in remembrance of them. Be it children, parents, spouses, even the 4 legged members of the family let us share the joy that they brought to you. Help us bring light to our little corner of the North County where all can see that we have not forgotten the Losses of the Many.
On December 20th at 6 PM the members will be holding our tree lighting at the intersection of County Routes 34 and 35. People attending are requested to meet at the West Potsdam Volunteer Fire Department and FIrst Responders Station by 5:45 PM where we will be proceeding up to the location. Elderly or attendees with limited mobility there is limited parking available by the location where vehicles can be parked.
There is no recommended Donation Amount please feel free To donate what you feel you can. Attendees after the reading of the names sent in early are welcome to speak freely aloud any name they please
If you wish to donate the Department Members will have access to donation slips as well if contacted via email are available to be sent for people outside of the area. We also have a Paypal set up for memorial tree donations by going to Paypal.com and logging into your account and under Send and Receive and Searching West Potsdam Vol. Fire Company Inc. Under the notes section please place your names for the memorial service there or use the link address listed below
