TRAINING TOGETHER to SERVE BETTER

Members of Potter Volunteer Fire & Rescue participated in a multi-agency Mass Casualty Incident training exercise in Sidney this morning. The training brought together countywide emergency first responders from numerous departments and agencies to practice coordinating resources, hazmat, fire suppression, extrication, communication, triage, treatment, and patient transport during a large-scale emergency.

These exercises provide valuable hands-on experience and help strengthen the partnerships that are essential when responding to major incidents. By training together, we improve our ability to work as a team, make critical decisions under pressure, and provide the highest level of care to those we serve.

We appreciate the organizers, instructors, participating agencies, and volunteers who made this training possible. Continuous training and preparedness help ensure that our responders are ready when our communities need us most.

Each year, -Busch pauses beer production to produce emergency drinking water, and in partnership with , ensures volunteer firefighters have the critical hydration they need during extreme heat. We’re proud and extremely thankful to be one of the departments receiving this donation to help keep our team hydrated during wildfires and extended responses. A big thank you also to Dawson for delivering the water to our station!
