IT'S HAPPENING FOLKS! HERE WE GO!

Be on the lookout for Keystone Utility Systems over the next few weeks.
Beginning June 2, 2026 they will be out installing the city's new meter read system. They will knock on the door prior to changing out the meter just in case, so don't be surprised to get a knock on the door from these helpful folks.
Now is also the time to update your contact information on your water account. Many accounts have old email addresses and landline phone numbers which make reaching you more difficult. The new system will have the ability to email you a copy of your bill, so be sure to reach out to Marnie to update it.

Earlier this week, Pottsboro Police responded to a burglary in progress call just outside the city limits to assist Grayson County Sheriff's Office. The suspect initially fled in a vehicle before abandoning the vehicle and fleeing on foot. K9 Ursa was deployed to track the suspect. Ursa successfully tracked the suspect where he was found hiding inside a cargo trailer and was taken into custody.

The Pottsboro Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the driver of a gray passenger car. The driver is described as a thin white female with red hair, tattoos on her neck.

At approximately 8am the subject entered the neighborhood on Chrissa Drive, abandoned three dogs, and then left the area.

Reminder that the OWS (outdoor warning sirens) are not meant to be heard indoors.

They can be activated for several reasons like large life threatening hail, high winds exceeding of 60 mph, and tornado warnings.

We would like to say thank you to everyone who participated today in our mock motor vehicle collision at the high school. Today we highlighted the effects of distracted driving, drunk driving, and not wearing a seat belt.
