Chamber activities include ribbon cuttings for members, our annual Frontier Day which includes family activities, great food, and booths for businesses to showcase what they do, the annual Texoma Expo at Midway Mall, an evening Mix and Mingle social held every month and many other exciting events throughout the year. State Highway 289 is now open which provides easier access to Pottsboro for our friends in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. This is an exciting improvement to the area as it opens a door to increased tourism for our area which is sure to be great for our business members and exciting for life on Lake Texoma year round. The Pottsboro Area Chamber of Commerce operates a Visitor Center on Hwy 120 that has information to help visitors have a fun trip to the Pottsboro area. The Visitor Center also helps local residents fi nd the goods and services they are looking for. It is also a good resource if you are new to the area and are trying to find information to make your move easier. The Visitor Center is open Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. I highly encourage businesses in the area to get active with the Pottsboro Area Chamber of Commerce. Looking for activities to do locally but don’t have a business? No problem. You can join as an individual and gain access to many opportunities to socialize and also volunteer to help make the community a better place. Pottsboro is a great place to….Come Play, Come Stay!

What a great Community Chat this morning! Thank you to everyone who took the time to join us. We had an excellent turnout and appreciate your continued support of Pottsboro and all the wonderful things happening in our community.

A big thank you to City of Pottsboro our City Manager Shon Nix, Mayor Tom Ceci, and City Council Member Gary Utsler for providing updates on current projects, community growth, and what’s happening around Pottsboro. We appreciate your leadership and willingness to keep our community informed.

Thank you as well to Cortney Gumm with Texoma Destinations for sharing information about Lake Texoma and all the ways they help promote tourism and support our area.

We would also like to thank Renee and the Pottsboro Library for always hosting our Community Chats. We are so grateful for your hospitality and partnership.
