1 still in the classroom and spent 24 years with Pottsboro ISD
1 who won't sugar coat the facts
1 who doesn't think the STAAR test is an indicator of student success
1 who doesn't think status quo is good enough for our kids.

Sorry I have been radio silent for a bit. Life happens.

I want to thank everyone who attended the candidate forum and wanted to take time and expand on a few of the questions that were asked during that forum. I'll start with the "rapid fire" questions:

Q: Should PISD plan for growth or upgrade existing facilities?

A: Upgrade existing (only two of us gave this answer)

Here is why:
Enrollment is down and I believe population expansion within the district will outstrip enrollment. In other words growth won't be proportional. We should invest in maintaining what we have so we don't have deteriorating infrastructure. Make sure facilities are modernized appropriately for all levels.

Educational landscape is changing we have to be prepared for that.
